I am really enjoying these scrapbook page challenges. It is giving me a change to scrapbook all of our photos from our trip out west this past June. I might actually complete an entire book this time. I still have the first two trips to complete.
Along with the challenge from MDS Monday I incorporated the weekly challenge from Facebook's Simply My Digital Studio Challenge. Their challenge was to complete a project using "text on a line". That is a newer technique to MDS, but I love using it and it is a pretty simple to complete. Using the Freeform tool, you can Add a Line. Once you have a line selected and on your project, create a text box and type what you want to say. Holding the Ctrl key, select both the text box and line. Release the Ctrl key and click the right mouse button then click on Attach to Shape. Your line and text are connected. You can edit your wording, font, and color of words by double clicking the shape. You can also change the shape, color, or even make your line invisible by right clicking on the shape and selecting Edit Shape. This is a technique that makes your page uniquely yours.
I also included the technique of filling a punch with Designer Series Paper. I wanted my numbers to stand out a little so, by using the Timeless Type Alphabet/Number Punches, I could fill them with the Woodland Walk Designer Series Paper. Again on this page I used several brush stamp sets as overlays and backgrounds.
I would love to teach you how to use MDS to save and share your lifetime of memories. Click below to shop for MDS products including the full MDS program.
